Graham Norton bids adieu to Virgin Radio, marking the culmination of a remarkable 13-year journey, and thus, the conclusion of an era in radio broadcasting. With heartfelt sincerity, Norton revealed his decision to reclaim weekends, stating, "I'll be stepping away from weekends here at Virgin Radio."

Assuring his listeners of his continued presence albeit sporadically, Norton shared, "I'll still pop up occasionally, but my regular Saturdays and Sundays, I'm letting go."

Reflecting on his voyage, Norton expressed gratitude, remarking, "For 13 years, I've navigated weekends between here and the old place, but now, my life beckons for a change. I simply yearn to reclaim my weekends." With genuine warmth, he dedicated his upcoming shows to thanking his audience for their unwavering support.

Looking towards the horizon, Norton disclosed that Angela Scanlon, esteemed Irish presenter and former Strictly Come Dancing participant, will temporarily helm the show, teasing "various announcements" concerning a permanent successor.

Norton's tenure at Virgin Radio traces a notable career arc, commencing at Radio 2 in 2010 before finding his stride at Virgin in 2021, coinciding with Claudia Winkleman's rise. As Winkleman prepares to bid farewell to her own show, Norton's departure signifies a significant shift in the radio landscape.
