UK Court Denies Bail
Grammy-winning R&B artist Chris Brown remains in custody following his arrest in Manchester, northern England, last week. The 35-year-old singer was taken into custody at a city hotel shortly after returning to Britain, and has since been denied bail.
Brown, renowned for chart-topping hits such as “Loyal”, “Run It”, and the viral favorite “Under the Influence”, had been preparing to launch his “Breezy Bowl XX” European tour. The tour was scheduled to begin on June 8 in the Netherlands, marking his first major international performances since the pandemic.
The singer appeared before Manchester Magistrates' Court, where a judge refused to release him on bail ahead of a scheduled hearing at Southwark Crown Court in London. The case is now set to be heard on June 13.
Court staff confirmed on Tuesday that Brown is expected to file another application for bail on Wednesday morning at Southwark Crown Court. The outcome of that hearing could determine whether his tour goes ahead as planned or faces delays due to legal proceedings.
Known for his turbulent personal life as much as his musical accomplishments, Brown has often found himself at the center of controversy. Despite this, he continues to command a global fanbase and remains a consistent presence on streaming charts.
His legal team has not yet issued a public statement, but the situation is developing rapidly.
When asked to enter a plea to the charge, Brown was arrested at a hotel in Manchester, northern England last week after returning to Britain.
