Hamilton’s Red Dream Realized
Jeremy Clarkson couldn’t resist jumping into the buzz surrounding Lewis Hamilton’s high-profile debut with Ferrari, sharing a cheeky parody of the F1 star’s viral photo.
The seven-time World Champion’s move to the iconic Maranello team sparked widespread excitement and media coverage. Hamilton marked the occasion with a striking photograph outside the Ferrari headquarters, standing confidently next to a Ferrari F40. The image, taken by Andre Wagner, didn’t go unnoticed by eagle-eyed fans — its seven open windows appeared to symbolize Hamilton’s seven championship titles, while the building’s doorway hinted at his pursuit of an eighth.
Dressed in a sleek black suit with a jacket draped over his shoulders, Hamilton exuded confidence and style. Reflecting on the milestone, he wrote, “There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever, and today, my first as a Ferrari driver, is one of those days.”
The dramatic, almost cinematic image quickly captivated social media, amassing 5.5 million likes in less than a week. It even drew comparisons to The Godfather, underscoring Ferrari’s legendary status in motorsport.
Adding his trademark humor, Jeremy Clarkson posted his own version of the photo. Known for his witty takes from shows like Top Gear and Clarkson’s Farm, the British presenter recreated Hamilton’s pose with a decidedly less glamorous backdrop — a barn, a Range Rover, and a cow munching hay. Clarkson’s mismatched suit further amplified the parody. Captioning the image “Lewis Clarkilton,” he delighted fans, earning 1.3 million likes within 24 hours.
This playful jab came on the heels of Racing Bulls’ attempt to ride Hamilton’s wave. They posted a photo of rookie Isack Hadjar arriving at their factory in Faenza, similarly draping a jacket over his shoulders.
Clarkson’s humor aside, the road ahead for Hamilton is no joke. Adjusting to Ferrari’s culture and forming a working relationship with teammate Charles Leclerc—considered a future World Champion — will be pivotal in his pursuit of further glory.
