Celebrity Families at War
Victoria and David Beckham’s fractured relationship with their eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, shows little sign of easing. The 26-year-old has reportedly formalised the rift by instructing his family to communicate with him only through lawyers, a move that underscores how distant the situation has become.
The estrangement is said to have deeply affected Victoria Beckham and David Beckham, with Brooklyn allegedly cutting off contact and blocking relatives on social media. Once known for projecting a united front, the Beckham family has increasingly found itself at the centre of public speculation over the breakdown.
One prominent friend who has reportedly tried to support Victoria is celebrity chef and broadcaster Gordon Ramsay. According to sources, Ramsay attempted to lighten the mood by quipping, “You’ve got one feud… But I’ve got the whole Top Trumps deck!”—a remark reflecting his own long history of family turmoil.
Ramsay has previously spoken openly about a troubled upbringing and difficult relationships within his own family, experiences that shaped his determination to build a more stable life with his wife, Tana Ramsay, and their children, including daughter Holly Ramsay. His past includes a painful estrangement from his younger brother Ronnie and a very public legal fallout with former father-in-law Christopher Hutcheson, who was jailed in 2017 following offences linked to Gordon Ramsay Holdings.
More recently, family tensions resurfaced around Holly Ramsay’s wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty on 27 December. The ceremony was reportedly marked by a dispute between Peaty and his parents, with only his sister attending the wedding.
The situation has drawn comparisons with Brooklyn Beckham’s own stance toward his family, particularly after he publicly expressed unwavering loyalty to his wife, Nicola Peltz, following his absence from several Beckham family milestones last year. In both cases, the choice to prioritise a spouse has intensified scrutiny of already fragile family bonds.
