Professor Green’s Wedding Confession
Professor Green has revealed he almost cancelled his wedding to former Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh, saying both of them felt an overwhelming pressure to go through with it. The rapper, 41, married Millie at Babington House in Somerset in 2013, but the couple split three years later after a highly publicised relationship. Despite their once-glamorous union, both stars have since moved on and started new chapters in their lives, with Green now dating actress Karima McAdams and Millie happily married with two children.
Speaking on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, Green opened up about how close he came to calling off the big day, admitting the relationship was under strain long before the ceremony. “If there was never that pressure, we would have never got married, that’s the truth. It very nearly didn’t happen,” he confessed. He went on to reflect that while the love was real, both were simply not right for each other at the time.
The musician described their relationship as emotionally intense and shaped by personal challenges neither fully understood. He said the split forced him to accept his share of responsibility and learn from the experience, adding that both have since found peace and perspective.
Millie has also reflected on their marriage in her own interviews, admitting she was “super young” and struggling with anxiety during that period. Looking back, she said both were dealing with their own issues, which made the relationship “quite toxic.” Despite the difficult past, the former couple appear to have moved on amicably, each finding stability and happiness beyond their brief but headline-making marriage.
